Commodore's Comment
Out with the old...

As I write this month's comment, it brings with it the end of a 10-year stint as Commodore. In that time, we have seen a fair amount of changes in the GLAA and undoubtedly will see a few more. We have gone from hand typed newsletters that took a week to get from sender to member to web centered technology that is available around the world in seconds as one example of change.

As your new Commodore I look forward to implementing new ideas to enhance our Membership, Racing and Cruising programs, along with the addition of a few new items on the Association's web site. 2009 Annual General Meeting

We had a rousing AGM this year, with the biggest turnout in years and members travelling from many ports of call. It also gave us the opportunity to thank Don Campbell for his 10 years service as Commodore as he passed the torch to Cathie Coultis.
